The Team
Our program was built around a team of outstanding educators. We are dance/fitness instructors with multiple degrees/certifications, 15+ years of experience working with schools/studios/private clients, and passion for using best practices to create classes with quality curriculum. Most importantly, we also have families, so we get it! We were brought together and bonded through dance decades ago, and this business was created to form a community of families who will grow and learn with our program.

Katie Harrison
Owner & Instructor
Yoga: RYT-200 and Children's Yoga Teacher Level 1, MSDE Teacher Certification in Math Secondary Education, Early Childhood, and Dance
Katie began her career in 2010 as a high school math teacher, and later, department chair. While math will always be her favorite subject, her passion is creating movement. Katie began dancing in 1990 and continued training at Salisbury University where she was awarded the 2009 National Outstanding Dance Minor after receiving multiple choreography awards. Katie has never stopped dancing and has been a dance instructor since 2010.

In 2018, Katie left public education and opened her own in-home daycare. Allowing her to create a learning environment for her children that focused on learning through movement and experiences verses a “one-size-fits-most” curriculum. The six years spent operating her own business allowed her to see that her degrees in education did not limit her to a classroom. In 2023, as part of her health and fitness journey, Katie took her first group yoga class. Seeing the way different people, all with different backgrounds, strengths, and purposes, could come together for one shared experience inspired Katie to complete her yoga teacher certification immediately.

Whether it is Algebra, Jazz, ABCs, Vinyasa, nothing is more rewarding to Katie than teaching. Katie founded Timing is Everything Family Fitness after trying to juggle being a mom and finding time to prioritize fitness for her own mental and physical health. She now looks forward to sharing the benefits of yoga, dance, movement, and wellness with other parents and children through her innovative programming and schedules.
